Our Process
At Hacienda Cincinnati, coffee is processed under the highest quality standards, this condition confers the drink its resulting characteristics which position it as one of the best coffees in the world. A description of the steps taken through which this excellent drink is obtained follows.
Planting
Our seeds undergo a rigorous selection process. Germination, seedling and planting phases progress according to the highest quality standards. Trees are planted under a previously determined agro-forestal system denominated agroecosystem, given that, due to the great variety of species included, this productive scheme doesn’t have a great impact on wildlife and flora.
Harvesting
The good quality of a cup depends to a great extent on the meticulous care put into the picking of the cherries. At Hacienda Cincinnati the perfectly ripened cherries are picked one by one, so that the ideal processing of the cherries can ensue.
Coffee Processing Center
The different coffee varieties at Hacienda Cincinnati undergo depulping, fermentation, washing, pre-drying and drying processes. These closely monitored stages are supervised by experts in the different areas, who guarantee for the constant quality and profile of the product obtained.
Storage
In order to ensure that the quality of our product is preserved at its best, Cincinnati Coffee Company has equipped its dried parchment storage facilities with equipment that allows for the perfect environmental conditions previous to the hulling process.
Hulling
Our product is processed at the Almacafe central hulling facility in Santa Marta. This company counts with the machinery, the technology and the know-how of its personnel, guaranteeing quality checks during the industrial process which will ensure the best use of the raw material in the production of excelsos of the highest quality.
